Chelsea Ties the Knot

Chelsea Clinton tied the knot with her long time beau this past weekend… and it was quite the affair. Bevy of media covered the highly speculated event (where, when and who’s attending) and even NY Times wrote an entire article about her wedding gown (and quite a bit about Chelsea’s style or the lack of, etc)! I was of course, very interested in her makeup and hair and thank goodness People.com posted great photos of both. She looked really great, even if I wasn’t crazy about her smokey eyes… But it definitely brought out her big eyes! Overall, she really did look beautiful!

Bella Sugar and Hollywood Life already has articles on “how to” recreate Chelsea’s bridal look!

LA based celebrity makeup artist/founder of Skinn Cosmetics Dimitri James has an entire recommendation on her bridal makeup.

So there, if you’re a Chealsea look alike you have many ways to recreate this look for your big day.

Oh and Alicia Keys got married this weekend, too!

Helen & Chris’ Wedding

Helen and Chris got married at the Palms Event Center in Pleasanton, CA on July 17, 2010 and I just got my hands on these hot teasers! I am really happy with how the makeup turned out on Helen and well, as you can see from the photos she looks really beautiful. And what a striking couple! Again, my awesome team was there to help with the entire bridal party and 2 mothers… great job all around. Helen loves purple and wanted purplish colors for her eyeshadow. I’m glad that the photos picked up on the subtle purple on her eyelids. I especially love the one where Helen’s eyes are closed and Chris is kissing her on her temple… So romantic! Oh and turns out, the fabulous photographer is an old acquaintance of mine. We went to the same church years ago. Small world, huh? Feast your eyes on these.

Letter from a Mother of the Bride

Awww this is the sweetest email ever! Did a bridal party makeup on Sunday at The Westin St Francis in San Francisco and the mother of the bride sent me this really lovely email today. And even sent me a photo of the bride, groom and bride’s sister! (I did makeup for both of the ladies and the mom, too.) I love what I do!

Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner move aside! I have a serious girl crush on the Twilight actress, Ashley Greene!!! (I’m a little late on the TwiHard bandwagon!) She is soooooo pretty. Honestly, I didn’t even really notice how pretty she was until recently, when I noticed her with all the Eclipse press junkets. She’s cute as Alice Cullen but she’s sooooo beautiful as the actress on the red carpet. I am smitten!

I was looking through her summer fashion spread with Twilight costar Kellen Lutz in this month’s Women’s Health Magazine “Twilight Stars in Cool Summer Looks” and was AWED at her beauty! Wow, I am looking forward to seeing her in other movies.

Here are some of my favorites (first image totally rocks). Her makeup is flawless!

Ashley was also announced last month as the new face of Avon’s Mark cosmetic line. Did I mention how pretty she is???

Winne & Eusebio’s Wedding

I’ve known Winne for several years now and it was an honor to do her wedding makeup. (We met via a book club way back when!) It was even a bigger honor to be part of their intimate family affair at this beautiful backyard wedding in Palos Verdes Estates. I was really impressed with all the details of the wedding, from the food to the favors! Everything was absolutely perfect! It was really fun hanging out with the bride and her bridal party the day of. They were all simply gorgeous!

Frances & Kevin’s Wedding

Frances and Kevin were married on January 23 of this year. As you can see Frances did the whole traditional Chinese dress, as well as the western bridal gown look. We started really early (6am) but I was awake enough (for the most part) to pull off the makeup. Along with Frances, I also did makeup on her 2 bridesmaids, her sister and mom. They were really good sports about getting ready and I really appreciate the yummy dim sum that they fed me for breakfast.

Christina and Aaron got married on March 27, 2010! Here are some collage images from the photographer. They got married on a yacht and sailed around the bay. How romantic is that? As you can see from these images, they had a whole of fun. Christina was a gorgeous bride, totally cool and calm even though she was running a bit late.
